Okay, It's Hot
Outdoor Venues Rock!
Playing outdoors in Texas in August is, well, hot. For the band and for the audience. But you know what, at least we don't have to shovel the heat. Mostly the show is conducted through the good graces of our adrenal glands and a lot of cool water. The energy of the crowd also is an important ingredient. And then the band shares that common experience of working well and hard together for the common goal of creating a musical experience that is exciting and memorable for "us" and for "you."
The Dallas Arboretum presented just that opportunity for TrueHeart last night and we had a blast. The "on air" temperature was in the mid 90's at 7PM. But it was a "dry heat" and it was probably 5 degrees cooler "in the shade!"
But I must say, I didn't feel the need to go to Body Pump this afternoon after 2 hours of performing in those conditions! It's great fun and I love the players in our group and jamming with one's brother and sister with whom one used to engage in various wrestling matches and other sibling rivalries is about as good as it gets!
Play on!
