Climbing the Charts to the top 20!

DALLAS -- "The Road" continues to climb the FMQB AC charts and lands at number 20 tied in total spins with Jim Brickman who's at 19.

TrueHeart songwriter and vocalist Ross Vick spent the day on the phone calling each of the stations to thank them for their support. Their response was likewise thanking TrueHeart for "sending them great music."

When he wasn't on the phone, Vick was "consulting" with producer/arranger and co-writer Gary Leach on the preproduction demos that serve as the template they will work from when the studio players arrive next week to begin their assualt on finishing the CD project that has been birthed by the success of "The Road."

The variety of music that will be included on the CD will be matched in creative intensity by the consistency of the arrangements and productions. Used to going into the studio and recording the first 12 songs out of his head, Vick has had to step back while working with the veteran Leach. Each of the songs selected for the finshed product was done for for content, quality and relevancy to the work as a whole. Three of the songs Vick and Leach set up a writing weekend to create. The remainder of the songs were in some finished form by Vick and polished by Leach, some more than others.

Vick elaborated: "What Gary does with an idea is bring it into focus and make it palatable to a broad audience. The genre of music I write and that Gary identified early on as our "niche" is Adult Contemporary. We're hoping to strike a chord with the Adult Contemporary audience and the Baby Boomers who tend to make up a large portion of that demographic."

Due out by the end of May, the tentatively titled work "The Road" has been a life time in the making.
