On the Road
Vick begins midwest Radio Tour
Pittsburgh--Today Mitchell Fox and I met with the Program Director for WISH-FM, Ron Antill. We had a lovely 2 hour visit. We learned about Ron's colorful career and his pending marriage (4th) to a lovely 29 year old lass. Ron was effusive in his comments about the songs and performances. He took the time during out time together to listen through to "The Road" and to "Goodbye." Both tunes he thought would appeal to his audience and as we climb the charts (R&R) he will consider adding TrueHeart to his play list.
Afterward, we went into downtown Pittsburgh for our meeting with Chuck Stevens WLTJ-FM who is currently playing "The Road." Chuck was great and we had a great visit. He was interested in the creative process of how the CD came about. Also he took the time to listen to "Plan for Peace" our Holiday single and was quite complimentary of the song and thinks it will have traction with his audience. He said it was "beautiful" and "timely."
We then went to Weiner World and had a coupla Hot Dogs each. Down town Pittsburgh, Weiner World, can it get better than that? It was awesome! After we had our hotdogs, we headed out of town. But first we toured a bit of down town, due to some navigation issues, but it was such a joy because Pittsburg is really a beautiful city and I can't wait to get back.
Now, we're in our hotel room in Cleveland, only 145 miles from Pittsburg, a nice drive really. We're looking out the window at Lake Erie and the muni airport. Tonight we'll head out to watch the Cleveland and Yankee's game and the Cowboys vs Bills.
All in all the trip has begun with great promise. More tomorrow.
